The science and technology contest for primary and high school students will be held on March 25, 2008. Forty-two high schools and 60 primary schools are participating in the national contest. The students who win the first six places will compete in the international science and technology contest in the United States.

The State of Israel, marking 60 years since its founding, is proud to send its young representatives to the international contest, and regards the contest as an event that encourages achievements in technology and the sciences.

This year, to mark 60 years of Israel's independence, special emphasis has been placed on educational initiatives that emphasize values and that promote the talents of Israeli youngsters in the area of science and technology, and moreover, enable them to present their capabilities in international forums.
