The popular children's TV channels- Hop and the Children's channel are initiating and organizing a children's drawing contest as part of Israel's 60's celebrations events.

At the first stage, children will be invited to send their drawings to Hop's internet site (www.hop.co.il) which is the meeting point of Israeli children in their first steps on the internet. The invitation to send the drawings will be from the site's homepage at which a designated area will be assigned to the contest based on a gallery of children's drawings under the subject "60 years top Israel".

At the second stage, the drawings will be placed at an impressive exhibition, in addition to viewing the drawings; the audience will be given the opportunity to vote for their favorite drawing.

12 out of the selected drawings will be included in a stylish calendar that will be produced especially for the event. In addition Hop, channel & site will produce an animated clip from the 12 selected drawings. The clip will be broadcasted on the TV channel and on the site starting form Independence Day and during the following months.

The children's channel is also initiating a drawing contest - "Children Drawing Independence".

During the contest the channel will invite the children of Israel to take part in the project and to send their drawings to the Children's channel. The children will be able to send their drawings via the channel's internet site (www.kidstv.co.il/60years/index.asp) or by post. The children's channel will scan the drawings sent to them and will put them on the site. The contest will be promoted and highlighted on the site, exposing the web users to the contest during the entire period. The prize for the wining drawing will be awarded live at the children's channel studios by one of the channel's stars. It will be defined that selected drawings will appear in a special calendar that will be produced as part of the event.

In addition the children's channel will conduct a weekly quiz regarding events in the history of Israel that happened today ...X years ago. A visit and guided tour of the children's channel studios will be awarded following a raffle between the winners.
