As part of the events marking 60 years to Israel's independence, the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption and the headquarters in charge of organizing the events marking 60 years of independence initiated a unique joint project: the 60th wedding, a festive wedding for new immigrants. The event, which will take place at the National Park at Caesarea on the 19th of August 2008, is intended for new immigrant couples who arrived at Israel after January 1st 1998. Priority will be given to couples who arrived at Israel in the last five years and opened a wedding file at the religious council and who are planning to start their home in Israel.
As part of the festive event, a main traditional Jewish wedding ceremony will be managed by the chief Rabi, Rabi Shlomo Amar. The event will also include an entertainment program and refreshments for the guests.
Each couple will be allowed to add 25-30 guests.
Olim couples who are interested in getting married in such an event are invited to fill in the application form which can be downloaded from the link below:

Applications will be received until Thursday 15.05.08.
The Ministry of Immigrant Absorption will assess the forms and release official notifications to couples who will be chosen to participate in the event.
