A special co-existence festival will be held between the 26th and the 28th of August in cooperation with the Gilboa Local Authority, as part of Israel's 60th anniversary celebrations.
The festival will begin with a unique event at the Gilboa local authority amphitheater at which Jewish and Arab singers and dancers from Israel and abroad will perform. During the festival, Jewish and Arab artists will perform on different stages at Jewish and Arab villages.
At the end of the festival awards will be given to organizations and people who particularly stood out in their contribution to co-existence in Israel.
The winners of the awards will chosen by a public committee that will be established for that purpose and the awards will be awarded by a known figure that will be selected at a later stage.
The aim of the festival is to strengthen the cooperation between Arabs and Jews and to enable them to perform together on stages in Israel and abroad. An additional aim is to expose, strengthen and show respect to hundreds of organizations, schools, youth movements, creators and committee chairmen for whom co-existence is part of their daily routine and to expose the Israeli and international public to their activity and to good neighborly relationships.
