The city of youth in Haifa has been operating for years and has been the peak of the municipal youth council activity throughout the year. The importance of the event, to which dozens of thousands of youngsters will arrive from all over the country, is the inclusion of educational values bringing to awareness main issues that relate to teenager's lives.

This year the city of youth is operating under the full cooperation of the 60^th year headquarters. For two days, towards the end of the summer break, there will be a range of entertainment, creative and social activities in several designated zones:

• Main stage - performances by youth bands from across Israel, performances by famous artists from the past and present. Combination of bands that united with other bands or attempted to do so in the past such as: Tislam, Mashina.
• Hyde Park zone - discussions on various topics relating to the Israeli society. The young audience is invited to participate and express their opinions.
• Art Zone- a huge graffiti wall will be placed with the 60's logo - the young audience is invited to place their mark on the wall. Art workshops will operate in this zone including makeup workshops, drums, capoeira and more.
• Tents zone - each tent will present Israel's accomplishments in different fields (science and technology, transport, youth leadership, environmental issues and more)
• Information center - information relevant to young people provided by different organizations and associations (Open Door, Eran,  the Drug enforcement Agency, Green Light and more)
• Cult films zoon - films targeted at the teenage audience - Grease, Hair, American Pie, Blues Lahofesh Hagadol and more
• Sports Zone - Sports games - volleyball, football, Matkot
