Jerusalem Site Tours Marathon

Starting at 10:00 AM in accordance with Yad Ben Zvi.

200 groups of 30,000 tourists are expected to come to Jerusalem and join guided tours at a range of popular sites. The tourists will become familiar with Jerusalem through 20 different tours planned by Yad Ben Zvi who together make up the human and cultural mosaic Jerusalem is comprised of. It is possible to register for the tours in advance.  

The tours will include the game "search for the treasure" and a settlement quiz, the final question of which will be asked by the president of Israel.

Natural orange juice will be given out for free at Paris square, Zion square and Pat junction between 10:00 AM and 17:00.

Festive Parade

20,000 people, 30 vintage tractors and agricultural devices and bands will participate in the biggest Settlement parade ever. Representatives from 53 local authorities, Settlement Education institutions, Bnei Moshavim and the Agricultural Union Movements, representatives from the Youth Immigration movement, settlement education and Israel knowledge and heritage (Shelach) youth will all wear T-shirts with the parade's slogan, Israel - 60, Jerusalem - 40.   

The parade will include surprising attractions donated by museums such as agricultural tools and devices used by the first settlers.

Actors, jugglers and acrobats will perform and 40 dance groups will be dancing wearing authentic costumes.

The IDF band and the Israeli Police band will accompany the parade.

The parade will leave Gan Ha'atzmaut at 17:00 and will carry on to Agron rd, Paris square, Gaza Street, Herzog Street, Golomb Street and will end at Teddi Stadium with a huge performance.

 

The Central Performance at Teddi Stadium

The main performance of the event will be held at Teddi Stadium and will be honored by the presence of Israel's president Mr. Shimon Peres, parliament members and ministers, ambassadors and other honorable guests.

The main performance will be directed by Shai Gutsman and will be one of the largest productions carried out in Jerusalem so far, including over 3,000 dancers, bands and the best artist:

 

 Harel Skat, Shiri Maimon, Subliminal, Kobi Aflalo and "Hakol Over Habibi".

6 meter high three dimension exhibits will be combined with the performances including:

The vision - a huge exhibit of David Ben Gurion, Nahal Veheachzut, construction and labor, agriculture, children- the future generation, research and development.

The large scale exhibits were constructed by artists, sculptures and painters who specialize in large scale sculptures, headed by the designer Tzipi Yifat. The unique exhibits will serve as the setting for action and chirography scenes played and danced by 3,000 dancers. Each scene will be accompanied by a song that will express the period and the topic.   

The entire event will combine amazing and exciting attractions such as pyrotechnics performance, performance by IDF bands, offerings of the first fruit tradition, a performance by the youth movements, rap and hip hop bands and an impressive firework show.

The artistic concept was determined by Yadidya Amram.
